Olu, popularly known is the pioneer/founder of SOS.ng Initiative. He is the current 100m African Record holder with 9.85 seconds, thus making him the fastest African of all time.

He was a member of the Nigerian 4x100m Bronze medal winning team at Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

That same year, he won the 100m African title, before going on to win Silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

His most memorable achievement as an athlete was becoming the 2008 World Indoor Champion (60m),
thereby making him the first and only African sprinter till date to have achieved that feat.
