Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has joined newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham FC on a season-long loan move from Torino.

The West London side unveiled the 23-year-old as their 7th signing of the summer via their official website on Friday evening, revealing he will don jersey no. 34.

Aina could join the Cottagers for €12.5 million at the end of the season as Torino had inserted an option-to-buy clause in the loan deal.

“I feel very excited and privileged to be able to play for a Club like this, Aina told FFC Tv

“It feels amazing to be back closer to my family, back in the capital where I was born and raised.

“There’s a great bunch of lads here. I’m really good friends with Big Hec and Josh Onomah.

“I feel very comfortable on either foot, I can fill in wherever needs be. I’d say I’m pretty quick and I like to attack, but I also like to help the team and do the dirty work as much as I can.”

The full-back returns to England after a two-year stint in Italy. Last season he featured 37 times for Torino in all competitions, registering three assists.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Aina opted to switch allegiance to the Super Eagles of Nigeria despite previously playing for England age-grade teams. He has earned 14 caps for Nigeria.
