Oduduru set to compete at Paris Diamond League
In what will be his second ever appearance at the IAAF Diamond League, Divine Oduduru will square up to Noah Lyles and six other elite athletes from across the world in Paris on Saturday.
Having set a new Nigerian record of 19.73s at the NCAA Champs in June, the former Texas Tech posterboy will go head-to-head with World Leader Lyles for the first time in the 200m.
Notably, Lyles raced to a scorching PB of 19.50s at Athletissima in July. Meanwhile, Alex Quinonez, who clocked 19.87s to place 2nd at same event last month, is also one to watch out for in the race on Saturday.
Canada’s Aaron Brown (19.95s) and reigning World Champion Ramil Guliyev (19.99s) are the other participant athletes who have dipped below 20s this season.
South Africa’s Clarence Munyai and French duo of Meba-Mickael Zeze & Christophe Lemaitre will look to cause upsets.
The race will be staged at the Charléty Stadium by 7:57pm.
