Ese Brume Poised To Make Diamond League Debut In Lausanne
2014 Commonwealth Champion Ese Brume is poised to come up against some of the World’s best long jumpers on her Diamond League debut in Lausanne on Thursday, July 5.
The Africa Junior Record Holder is listed to compete with World Leader, Lorraine Ugen (7.05m); Reigning World Indoor Champion, Ivana Spanovic; German superstar, Malaika Mihambo; Olympic Champion, Tianna Bartoletta among others.
The 22yr old has made only appearance this season, leaping a massive 6.82m to emerge champion at Jamaica International Invitational in May. The record was notably 1cm short of equalling her lifetime best of 6.83m, which she set in 2016.
Poised to compete in for the first time in the elite track and field athletic competitions, Brume will be hoping to consolidate on her impressive start to the season and cause a major upset against the big stars in the Lausanne Metropolis.
