Nigeria’s national basketball team have climbed up one place to 22nd in the latest FIBA World Ranking released on Wednesday.
The D’Tigers garnered 433.3 points as they overtake Iran following their 3-0 record at the 2021 AfroBasket Qualifiers last month in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Mike Brown’s men defeated South Sudan, Rwanda and Mali, each by a margin of at least 20 points to top Group D with maximum six points.
The next engagement for the West Africans is the 3rd window of the qualifiers in February 2021 and they will again face each of their group opponents once more.
The 2021 AfroBasket finals, which will be the 30th edition of the continental competition, will be staged in Rwanda and take place between August 29 and September 5, 2021.
